Farmers Union Retail Division was established in 1919 on what was known
in those days as the Grand Trunk Railroad on Skillings Ave in South
Paris, Maine. The original store primarily sold bulk sugar, flour,
feed and grain that was delivered in rail cars to their siding. Over
the past 90 years Paris Farmers Union has maintained a strong
commitment to the community and to
our customers and that commitment has fostered our growth. Product
lines have increased significantly over the last nine decades and now
exceed over 40,000 items in the home, farm, garden, pet, and hardware
lines. From our humble beginning on a back street in South Paris we
have grown to 10 retail outlets in 3 states: Maine, New Hampshire and
Vermont. As a retail group it is our simple mission to provide a friendly atmosphere and outstanding Customer Service to promote lifelong customer relationships.
We see the future as being bright. We are focused firmly on improving and expanding our product mix, our retail facilities and our online service to better meet our customer needs.
We invite and welcome your feedback through our letter/email (pbc@parisfarmersunion.net) to the President campaign. Over the years our open door policy has provided us with a tremendous amount of customer feedback that has provided us direction and ensured our commitment to being a customer-focused retailer.
We thank you very much for your business and we look forward to serving you in one of our retail stores or in our virtual store on the web in the near future.
